Dr. Stephanie Fotorny
Veterinarian, Owner of the Pet Doctor
Dr. Fotorny was born and raised in upstate New York. In 2003, she received a Bachelors of Science from Clemson University, in 2007, a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University, with finishing at the University of Georgia. She has extensive experience in both corporate and private practice, and shelter medicine. She has been practicing in the Myrtle Beach area since 2007. Dr. Fotorny currently has one English bulldog named Fletcher who is the CEO in training, and his side kick assistant Fredrick the French Bulldog.
Dr. Heather Caplan
Veterinarian, Owner of Grand Strand Equine
Heather Caplan was born in Miami Beach, Florida and lived in South Florida until she and her family moved to Toms River, New Jersey when she was a freshman in high school. While living in New Jersey Heather began working at Walnridge Farm, a standardbred breeding facility and veterinary hospital. She completed her undergraduate studies at Eckerd College in St. Petersburg, Florida. Upon completion of her undergraduate degree in Biology she attended Drexel University in Philadelphia graduating with a Masters in Laboratory Animal Medicine. Heather was then accepted to veterinary school at the University of Florida. In her free time Heather enjoys running, biking, crossfit, watching college sports and reading. She has competed in several triathlons and completed two marathons. Dr. Heather is married to Daniel Brass and they recently had twins Jackson and Lillian. She also has a white dog named Velo that sometimes rides along.

LeTavious R. Hemingway was Born and raised in Conway, South Carolina. He joined The Pet Doctor team in 2012 after getting a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Morris College. With amazing on he job training he became a veterinary technician who loves the job with every fiber of his being. When he isn’t drawing blood, placing catheters, and helping treat pets he’s an avid writer. He’s started his own blog, which can be found on www.poeticice.com, and published two novels. Also, he is the writer of the Official Per Doctor Blog. He moved in 2015 to Augusta, Georgia with his beautiful wife Devin, his tabby cat Kahn, and two rescue pit bulls Bruce, and Wayne.

Jelisa was born in Queens, NY and moved to Conway when she was 15. She always had a love for animals and had many pets growing up. She went to school to study veterinary technology to fulfill her dream of working alongside the doctors to help every pet be healthy and happy, and to have every pet owner know that we care about their pet as much as they do. She currently has 4 dogs and a Bearded Dragon.

I was born in Myrtle Beach SC.  I graduated class of 2019 from Socastee High School.  I have always loved working with and spending time with animals. I began working for The Pet Doctor in February 2017 and spent 2 years at working at the kennel before moving to the vet clinic.  I have 5 dogs, 2 Hermit crabs and fish.

Nick was born in California and moved to South Carolina when he was 5 years old. He graduated from Socastee High School in 2015. Nick has a dog, Oreo, who he enjoys spending time with. Nick also loves sports! You can find Nick watching sporting events during his free time, especially hockey. Go Rangers!

Beth was born and raised in the Myrtle Beach area. After working in motorsports for 10 years, she transitioned into the animal care field. Her animal family consists of Sampson the Great Dane, Bella the Boxer, a rabbit and a large aquarium. She states that she is “beyond excited to be part of the Pet Doctor family”.

Hello, My name is Daniel. I am 18 years young. I have been apart of the Pet Doctor Doggie daycare and Boarding staff for a year now. I have a new puppy named Luna who is a Blue nose Pitbull. When I am not working I enjoy hanging out at the pool, riding bikes/finding trails,or cruising the strip. I love Logan's Roadhouse considering steaks and rolls are my favorite thing to eat. I also enjoy shopping and finding cool stuff to do.

Dr. Micheala
Veterinary Technician

Dr. Micheala Polly was born and raised in mid-Missouri.  In 2014 she received a Bachelors of Science in Marine Science from Coastal Carolina University (Go Chants!).  In January of 2021 she received a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University, and finished her clinical rotations at the University of Missouri (Mizzou-Rah!).  Her area of interest is small animal surgery and she was recently matched with an internship program in Tennessee, where she will continue her path toward a small animal surgery residency starting this June!  In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, surfing, scuba diving, hiking and traveling.
